"I can't meditate," said everyone, at least once.
1- you have expectations on how it should be/feelโฃ
โฃ
2- you get frustrated because your mind is activeโฃ
โฃ
3- you stop because you get too many ideas and you want to put them down as soon as possibleโฃ
โฃ
4- you expect immediate resultsโฃ
โฃ
5- you choose the wrong moments (you are too tired or too emotional to sit quietly)โฃ
โฃ
6- you give up too early to body painsโฃ
โฃ
7 - you are battling your mind instead of embracing itโฃ
โฃ
8- you try to do it all alone - there are numbers of meditations online that can be helpful to set a practice. And even better, there are meditation groups to join which will support and motivate your practiceโฃ
โฃ
9- you feel a loser because you don't have mystical experiences - sorry to break it for you, that's not the purpose of meditation.โฃ
โฃ
10- you haven't found the technique that works for youโฃ
โฃ
11- you forgot to use your breath as a compassโฃ
โฃ
12- wrong food/drinks before meditating - big meal, alcohol, too much caffeine and sugars sabotage your meditation sessionโฃ
โฃ
13- you are distracted by notifications/phone activityโฃ
โฃ
14- the wrong environment - it's easier to quiet your mind when your environment reflects that quietness.โฃ
โฃ
15- you don't give it consistency - 2 minutes a day is better than 30 minutes once a monthโฃ
โฃ
โฃ
Can you recognize any of these?โฃ
