𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 "𝐆𝐨𝐝"?
. You might have grown up in a religious environment, where you had to go to follow a set of rules or you were "bad" . You might have been forced to go to Sunday celebrations to make your family happy so that they wouldn't bother you. . You might have had a genuine relationship with the God you have been exposed to, but then doubts came in. And you started to question. . . What does it mean to be a good person? . Why do people that should show us the moral compass behave in such undecent ways? . Why someone would preach love and peace and then be one of the angriest persons you know? . Why are some people being nice only when everyone looks at them, and behave like assholes when there are behind closed doors? . . 𝐈𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞, 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭? . . 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞. . . I know it was like that for me. And I know that I didn't want to use and hear the word "God" for quite some time. . Until I sat down with it. And I studied the different religions. And I asked questions to people from different backgrounds and beliefs.
. . This can be a controversial opinion, but hear me out. . Most religions stand behind the same beliefs. They had a role in society, in creating community and giving a sense of protection. . 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥. . . 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐝. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. . . Allowing us to connect to the Divine, in whichever form it feels comfortable to you. . Because we are part of the Divine. We are a part of the Universe. . "𝑾𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆; 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆," said Pierre Teilhard de Chardin . . What if religions were different paths to get to the same place, to evolve into your own Spirituality, into your connection to the Divine? . . This is what Spirituality is all about . connecting with your inner self . connecting with the bigger picture - God, Universe, or how you refer to It . connection to the present moment . you feel deeply connected to people and what's around you . the ability to navigate smoothly the up and downs of life . the ability to question and evaluate your own beliefs and values . being grounded . increased level of empathy, compassion and understanding that each is on their own path . enhanced sense of calmness . less reactivity . more acceptance of what is, despite your preferences . . When you take up any of these observations, you notice that you start introducing more Compassion, more Understanding, more Calmness in your day. . Spirituality is often such a controversial topic, and it's not explored enough in my opinion. . When it should. It is as natural as anything else. . Dr P.S. Jagadeesh Kumar said "“Don't teach a man, the name of his religion; teach a man, the value of his religion” . . 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞?
