Body ReAlignment with Fascial Kinetics

Fascial Kinetics therapy is a gentle form of bodywork whereby subtle moves are performed over the muscles and connective tissue that send messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a preferred, relaxed, balanced way of wellbeing. The technique addresses not only the musculoskeletal framework; but also the fascia, nerves, and internal organs.

This technique works addressing the fascia, the connective tissue of the body.

Fascia is everywhere in our body, it’s that tissue underneath the skin, the same tissue that wraps muscles and organs. This allows the moves to have the deepest impact on the body, with minimal stress. A gentle move performed on a specific part of the body; can affect all the other structures and organs connected to that specific point (very similar to the meridian lines for TCM).

Persons are often surprised by the relaxation they experience when on the table, and confused by how a move done on the leg can create a feeling in the thoracic area, or a stream of energy. They often feel tingling in areas that haven’t been touched and hot/cold sensations.

Every set of moves is followed by a pause, when we allow the person’s body to respond to the command activating the parasympathetic system and adjusting accordingly.

Why did I choose Fascial Kinetics over Massage?

I am still a big fan of massage, but I find that Fascial Kinetics is more powerful and its effects last longer than with other massage techniques (based on my personal experience, of my clients and research).

I have seen chronic problems caused by bad posture or old injuries, get better in a few sessions.

How did Fascial Kinetics affect me personally?

I had a bad shoulder problem and since the age of 8/9 years old I needed treatments and massages to relieve the tension. Every few weeks the tension would build up again and I needed more appointments.

At 27, with two sessions of Bowen (from where Fascial Kinetics originates from) the problem was considerably reduced.

Nowadays my shoulder doesn’t get stuck anymore and I don’t need therapy as often (I treat the shoulder once a year just to be sure to maintain the right posture). When I get a massage it is for wellbeing, relaxation and enjoyment.

This is why I can honestly suggest that my client to try a Fascial Kinetic session for themselves. It’s a quite young technique, and not that famous yet, but I have no doubts it will blow your mind.

'Fascial Kinetics is the technique I am in love with for any body-related issue."

Which are the proven benefits?

What is truly amazing to the person receiving the treatment, is the immediate relief they can experience after the session, such an improved range of motion, a decreased level of pain, or the feeling of being tired and extremely relaxed.

Fascial Kinetics has been proven effective for

Back, Neck, Shoulders problems

RSI / Carpal tunnel syndrome

Headaches and Migraines

Stress-related conditions

General muscle stiffness

Sport Injuries

TMJ and Jaw disorder

PTSD, Insomnia and Anxiety

and more

Why do I suggest you drink plenty of water prior to the treatment?

When the tissues relax, circulation improves in the restricted area and toxins start to be flushed out of the system. This gives extra work to the kidneys, and they will need more water to do their job properly and gently. If the body is dehydrated, you might experience headaches, heaviness, and sickness during this induced detoxification process.

How is a session structured?

The first session starts with an intake whereby we talk about what brings you to us, your medical history and which symptoms you are experiencing at this moment. When we consider the fascia, is important to know of previous injuries and operations to have an understanding of how the scar tissue can influence the present posture.

The treatment is performed without the use of oils, and can be done directly on the skin or on clothes (please wear something comfortable)

Every few moves there is a pause, where I take notes on my observations for your portfolio, where I can leave the room to give your body full space to adjust or stay with you in the room.

Prices and Practicalities

First session:

60-75 minutes – 85 euro

Follow-ups :

45-60 minutes - 65 euro

5 treatments package:

320 euro

(includes intake, 5 treatments and has 4 months validity)

The session doesn’t end when the person leaves the studio; but keeps going for a few more hours, the time for the fascia to completely reset. It is normal to feel tired after a few hours from the treatment

We always suggest planning the appointment so that you can take a little rest afterward to get the full benefit from it

You should allow 24-36 hours to be aware of the effect of the session completely, the body takes a little to reset and you might feel ‘unbalanced’ at the beginning

We suggest to drink plenty of water before and after the session, to minimize the uncomfortable effects of the detox
